What is an enterprise zone?
Enterprise Zones are a key part of the government’s plan to support businesses and enable local economic growth. These designated areas offer government support to encourage business investment.
Where are our enterprise zones?
Our largest single site is known as the Eastern Half at Harwell Campus. Additionally, we have a number of sites in and around the Didcot and Milton areas, including large areas of Milton Park and the majority of the former Didcot A power station site.
Harwell is home to over 200 businesses, employing over 5,500 people. The Harwell enterprise zone occupies a large part of the 710-acre Harwell Campus, near the world-famous Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.Find out more +
Milton Park is home to a diverse group of over 250 businesses and support services. The 15 individual enterprise zone locations consist of a mixture of greenfield and brownfield sites.Find out more +

OxLEP’s Enterprise Zones Sub-Group (EZSG) is seeking members from the business community to help shape the future direction of how the EZs are promoted and how retained business rates can be used to benefit Oxfordshire.
