5G Mobile Technology

In 2019, the Government announced plans to speed up the roll-out of 5G technology and improve mobile phone signals in rural areas to increase innovation across the UK. 5G is coming to Oxfordshire. 5G is a next-gen mobile network technology that should deliver speeds of up to 10Gbps.

Superfast Broadband

The Better Broadband for Oxfordshire programme is a partnership between Oxfordshire County Council, BT and BDUK (Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport), with support from local district councils. It has brought superfast broadband to over 97% of homes and businesses in Oxfordshire.
